What to expect

DNFT is a powerful difference in chiropractic medicine. Here’s what you can expect.

If you haven’t already, please read about DNFT, the powerful non-force chiropractic method that has people walking and talking.

During your initial visit, Dr. Griffin will learn about you and your health concerns through a health assessment form. Then, together  you’ll discuss your current issues and long-term concerns and Dr. Griffin will explain DNFT Chiropractic.  Through careful observation of your movements (DNFT analysis) and through discussion of your symptoms, Dr. Griffin will work to identify the cause(s) of your discomfort. Following that, you’ll receive an extensive gentle adjustment —without popping or cracking.

At the end of your appointment Dr. Griffin will let you know how many additional appointments may be needed and share with you the types of treatments that are recommended for meeting your health goals. If needed, she will refer you to other health care professionals, and will be happy to work with that physician, physical therapist, acupuncturist, surgeon, or other care provider.

Most initial appointments are up to 45 minutes with Dr. Griffin and regular appointments are typically about 25 minutes.

Your role in your health

Because Dr. Griffin knows you want your pain to disappear and your health to improve, she will explain what’s causing your pain and give you the tools you’ll need to recover quickly. These may include brief, simple exercises that aid healing and prevent recurrence and helpful information for you to read. Dr. Griffin will also work to improve your awareness of daily habits such as poor posture that may contribute to spinal misalignment, and will show you simple and easy ways to correct them.

Dr. Griffin only schedules necessary treatments, and will release you as soon as you are able to continue recovering on your own. Unlike some, she claims to do only that which she is trained to do—working to keep your health costs low.
